JULY 11, 2008, SHAWNEE, KANSAS, USA -- It has just been announced that Doug Mackenzie, President & CEO of Shawnee, Kansas based SPC TelEquip will be appearing on KCUR (www.kcur.org) 89.3FM, NPR Affiliate and local public affairs radio station on this coming Monday, July 14th at 11:00am on the syndicated program “Up to Date”. The show is normally hosted by KCUR’s Steve Kraske, but on Monday, the show will be hosted by Steven Steigman, the Senior Producer of the “Up to Date” program.

Mr. Mackenzie will be joining a panel that will be exploring and discussing the concepts surrounding a 4-day work week.

SPC TelEquip Appoints Doug Mackenzie as President and Chief Executive Officer


Shawnee, KS (January 15, 2008) -- SPC TelEquip, the market leader in innovative engineering and manufacturing of enclosure systems for high capacity telecommunications networks, appointed Doug Mackenzie to the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Mackenzie brings an extensive industry background, demonstrated experience in delivering profitable growth and market penetration, and substantial leadership experience in the areas of engineering and executive sales management. Mr. Mackenzie will also serve as a Director of the company.

Prior to joining SPC TelEquip, Mr. Mackenzie built his professional career in the global telecom systems and equipment manufacturing sector. From components to engineered custom systems, hardware, and thermal management, Mr. Mackenzie gained recognition as a leader and innovator in various strategic sales, marketing and executive management assignments.

Most recently, Mr. Mackenzie was the Executive Vice President of a spray atomization products company, where he led the successful turn around and eventual sale of the company. He has also held leadership and executive management positions at APW, Ltd., Carlo Gavazzi – Mupac, Papst Mechatronics Corp, and ebm Industries, Inc.

Commenting on Mr. Mackenzie’s appointment, James Needham, Chairman of SPC, said, “As SPC continues to expand its presence in the markets for enclosure systems and outside plant and equipment (“OSP”) cabinets, it is imperative that we have experienced and solution driven professional leadership to manage our growth.”
